Since 2003 more than 1,000 local at-risk children have been given free book bags and school supplies during Back 2 School Blast at Kids 4 Christ. Last year 197 children were given bags during the Blast, with another 49 bags distributed afterwards through schools and DFCS.

Back 2 School Blast 2011 will feature games for kids, free school supplies and book bags, and (for the first time) haircuts.

Everything at Back 2 School Blast is completely free. Supplies are provided first-come first-serve. School-age child (K-12th grade) must be present to get supplies. Families are not required to show proof of income or residency to participate in Back 2 School Blast.
