Kids 4 Christ | Getting Involved With K4C

Kids 4 Christ is a growing ministry working with hundreds of at-risk children and their families. Much has been accomplished since K4C began in 2002, but there are still countless opportunities that will go to waste without continuing community support. Kids 4 Christ is not part of any one church congregation, but is a part of God's church - fully dependent upon Christians answering God's call to give of their time, money, and prayer to accomplish His work among LaFayette's youth. Is there a role for you at K4C?

Kids 4 Christ puts the "local" in "local missions" with dozens of volunteers working each year to deliver the gospel to children living in their own community. K4C volunteers represent a wide number of churches and denominations; all bring their own unique backgrounds and experiences to use within the ministry

K4C needs volunteers for regular activities and special events nearly every day of the week. Some jobs involve working directly with children, but others are more behind-the-scenes. Young or old, there's a job for almost anyone at Kids 4 Christ.

Volunteers at Kids 4 Christ undergo a background check and are given orientation and training before they can begin working. Active volunteers are encouraged to regularly update their training in areas like first-aid/CPR, teaching, and counseling.

Please contact K4C to inquire about career or volunteer opportunities. Prospective volunteers (including teens 14-18) should download and fill out a service application before coming in to interview.

Kids 4 Christ also needs financial support. Being an independent ministry means that K4C is not included in any group or church budget, and depends month to month on the faith of outside contributors - businesses, civic groups, church classes, and individuals who feel led to give. No gift is too small, and every gift is completely tax deductible.

Designated & Memorial/Honorary Gifts: Donations in memory or in honor of an individual should be marked as such on the check. Announcement cards will be sent to recipients of honor and memory gifts. Gifts designated for a specific program of Kids 4 Christ (ie, back 2 School Blast or family assistance) should also be marked for that purpose.

CONSIGNMENT SHELF
Kids 4 Christ has a consignment shelf at Buttercup Alley. Locally-crafted folk art items are available for sale there, with all proceeds going to benefit K4C. Buttercup Alley is located on the downtown square next to Chapman Jewelry.

You can also get involved at Kids 4 Christ through prayer. All of the volunteers and students at K4C need your regular prayers. K4C sends out weekly "KneeMail" prayer request e-mails. Subscribe to K4C KneeMail.

Representatives of Kids 4 Christ are available to speak to churches, businesses, civic groups, and other organizations. Volunteers can speak about K4C to potential supporters or update existing supporters about the organization's work. K4C volunteers also conduct presentations about poverty.
