Packing Day
Volunteers will be packing book bags for Back 2 School Blast beginning at 10 AM on Wednesday August 4th. Everyone is asked to bring a drink and wear light clothing as it will be very hot where the bags are packed. |

Back 2 School Blast 2010
Students (and parents) are invited to pick up free book bags and supplies during the Blast. Kids can also enjoy carnival games, face painting, and an inflatable. More Blast information... |

Cool After School Registration Week
Parents of children accepted into CAS for the 2010-2011 school year will be contacted to make registration appointments. Children not selected for the program can still be placed on the waiting list throughout the year. |

School Begins / Cool After School Begins
Walker County Schools and Cool After School begin on Monday August 16th. Under the new announced schedule, students should arrive around 3 PM each day and will still be taken home at 5. |

Bridge Conference
In order to conduct true community ministry, churches must strive to understand the various cultures that exist within the local community. Bridge Conferences are learning sessions that explore the culture of generational poverty (poverty as a lifestyle instead of simply a condition) and discuss ways the church can reach out to those who live in the cycle of poverty. |

Recognizing students with good attendance or other high-achievement during the July-September quarter, K4C will take kids on an outing. Destination and time are to be announced. |

K4C will participate in the city's annual Halloween activity. Cool After School will dismiss at 4:30 to avoid traffic. |
